Blizzard, placements do nothing for us. Can that be addressed?

As it stands, we are all aware that placements literally just drop you a few hundred SR from your final rank from the previous season regardless of win/loss count.I'm no genius, but I see this being resolved in two ways: either omit placements and just do a tiered or flat SR drop at the end of a season, or have placements ACTUALLY place you (like your initial placements do). I'm sure these aren't the only options, but the system as it stands is pointless if not broken.I would venture to guess most people would prefer new seasons to have placements that actually place you as if you were on a fresh account.
