Discussion: Something I noticed on how Nintendo is treating the Metroid franchise lately

While I'm not 100% sure if a new metroid game will be announced at E3, I just have this gut feeling in my body that nintendo is holding back something and whatever it is, it's feel like it's metroid.Think about it, last year they released the first game in the franchise since other m, that being federation force. Not only that, not too long ago they pushed metroid quite a bit by releasing metroid-related rewards on My Nintendo and Miitomo. Plus, one of the devs of federation force said in one interview that the next major title will be on the switch (then NX) most likely. I can't remember where the original interview but anyone is welcome to link the original source to me in the comments.With those happening, I feel like this is nintendo doing some buildup for something, as in a completely new metroid title is coming. Who knows, I could be wrong. Federation force and the my Nintendo/miitomo rewards that were released last year I'm sure were for metroid's 30th anniversary. But even still, I can't help but get the feeling that a new title for the switch will be announced at E3, even if it's a just mention or tease and not actual gameplay footage shown.I'm curious if anyone else is noticing this as well as getting that feeling. via /r/nintendo http://ift.tt/2r3TgCA
