Background info: I've been dating my girlfriend for nearly 4 months now. Yes, we've had sex.Earlier today, my girlfriend called to tell that her school is hosting an athletic banquet. It is the same day my school held our annual athletic banquet too, but I decided to go with her under a fake name since I could meet new people from her school. She later introduced me to a couple of her friends, and one of them looked REALLY hot.I spent some time with my gf before going to talk with the girl I saw earlier, let's call her Kate [F15]. She knew I was a nice guy when I walked up because she heard that I was in a relationship with the kindest girl in the school. Then we had hilarious conversations while sharing a bowl of Cheetos. Kate later decided to call an UBER to drive us home. I ditched my girlfriend and hopped onto the taxi with Kate. We were sitting closely and holding hands, I'm pretty sure she tried to kiss me but felt the time wasn't right. She asked for MY number when we got to my stop, which was really unexpected.I feel like Kate would make a great girlfriend since my current relationship isn't exactly going my way. But at the same time, I'm scared that I would break my current girlfriend's heart by dumping her. Anyone know how to minimise the pain that hits your partner when going through breakup? Kate had sent me text earlier tonight wondering if I could hang out tomorrow evening, and if my girlfriend catches me kissing another girl, things could get even worse.TL;DR I met this new girl, I have strong feelings for her and vice versa. If I really fall for her, how am I supposed to make the breakup less painful for my current girlfriend? via /r/relationship_advice http://ift.tt/2rkItZT
