Is it safe to charge the Istick Pico with the Macbook Pro?

Hi guys, I've bought a iStick Pico (75W with the Melo 3). It has a LG 18650 battery and I want to charge it with my Macbook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014). I wanted to be absolutely sure and found no other questions / information regarding this topic.As for the cable, I'm using the cable that has been shipped with the iStick Pico.
