Does anyone have experience building their own brake and or is familiar with brake blades? What materials are they made of? Is it better to just go for an off-the-shelf blade or can they be somewhat easily made? I need to design a custom brake for 0.5mm (26 gauge) stainless steel, probably ANSI 304.
