ELI5: Why is it that ideas created or thought of when high are considered irrational even though it is logical?

Title says it all. Perhaps add ideas that are conceptualized without being high but are also considered high ideas. What is wrong with high ideas? Why aren't they taken just the tiny bit serious most of the time? via /r/explainlikeimfive http://ift.tt/2uD42my
